Between the lines, I imagine what it must have been like for the first Adam and Eve in the garden – before the fall ushered sin into the world.
I would assume beasts could talk and were quite entertaining and loved by the man and woman. I see perfect light, green fields tall enough, a utopia of love for all, and by all. Warmth. Peace. Love.
Have you ever had those moments of calm lasting only seconds, for those moments are way too perfect for this world? I have. But in seconds, that peace covering drifts from my soul, and I remind myself of the world’s chaos and unrest.
So, I allow my mind to drift back to what it must have been like to live in a perfect world.
When I look at my dog, I ask God why man has such a passionate love for animals? How can this be explained? We are dominant over the beast. Where does this overwhelming love for the beast originate?
I believe it is in our DNA and it comes from creation and those first moments. When all was perfect in the world and animals could converse with man and peace prevailed. And I believe Heaven will belong to every beast that ever existed and every man and woman who confess their sin and love God.
1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
