Catch a memory

It was one of those soft summer days. All was well with the world. Innocence lived through the grandkids and simple things like swimming all day, then roasting marshmallows around a fire pit for smores at night was the day's highlight.

There was no fear of a pandemic and no fear of offending another with a wrong pronoun. Race was something you ran - not the color of your skin, defined. The media played its game but few dwelled on their stories or the division they seemed to try to create. People loved and were in love. Any lies remained hidden. Nothing bad could happen.

I remember the peace it brought me to look out upon what was left of the day. After everyone had gone home and all that was left were the residuels of a good day spent with family.

The comment was me, Ginny. they want to know if I am a member or guest, so I don't know what to do with that.

Sorry, Ginny. I'm going to try to fix this. I'm not sure how it works... But thank you for the comment and for visiting.
